Skillion

A classic design, the Skillion patio is a flat roof that is available either freestanding or attached to an existing structure.

In a typical design it is attached to the house fascia (which is reinforced for peace of mind) under the existing gutter. It falls away from the house, the front of the roof being supported by posts and beams and the rainwater collected in a gutter.

Structural Box Gutter

Also a flat roof design but with the roof falling back towards the house.

It ensures a clean simple look by combining the role of box gutter with that of supporting the patio roof sheets.

The gutter is manufactured from a heavy gauge Colorbond steel requiring no additional beam.

This design can be used to solve design issues such as a need to increase the patios height or where the guttering on a traditional skillion design cannot be connected to the stormwater system.

Flyover

The flyover design is a great way to increase light and air circulation under your new patio. In a flyover design, the patio roof sits up above the house roof.

There are several engineering options for supporting this type of design. Firstly, Roof Extenda brackets, specifically designed and engineered to extend through the house. They are Zinc plated and sealed to the house roof with Nulead roof seals, once again chosen to give the best result possible.

When the design calls for your flyover to be raised beyond the height achievable with Extenda brackets then roof posts are used. Custom manufactured from Galtube steel and then powdercoated, they can extend through the house roof or the house fascia.

Gable

The traditional gable gives your patio area extra space and light while allowing for better ventilation of hot air.

There are many attractive infill options for the front and rear of the gable:

                              • Twinwall polycarbonate sheeting • Louvers in timber, steel or aluminium • Rising sun detailing

Combination

The combination of skillion ‘side wings’ to the gable adds even more style to your patio.
