Stringers
Our stairs are supported on Hot Dip Galvanised (HDG) steel stringers. HDG is the most durable method of protecting steel against corrosion. Galvanising is impervious to the effect of sunlight, will never shrink, crack or peel and will last more than 100 years in most areas.
Kwilla
Our standard stairs use 250mm x 50mm fine sawn appearance grade Kwilla.
Aluminium
Extruded aluminium step treads offer a maintenance free option. They won't split, warp, rot or require painting. The clear anodized and ribbed grooves on the tread extend over the front edge to ensure they are slip free.
